God Still Speaks

Throughout the Bible, you will find how God would speak to people. There were some who could hear God’s voice audibly and directly. Then there were some people whom God spoke through such as prophets, through visions, dreams, angels, circumstances, and other ways.

God spoke through prophets (2 Kings 21:10). What is a prophet? A person that speaks a message from God, guided by the Spirit of God/Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21; John 14:26; Acts 4:31). God spoke to Elijah in the cave (1 Kings 19:9) and if you read in 1 Kings 19, you’ll see how God gave him direction. God revealed to Daniel through a vision the interpretation of a King’s dream (Daniel 2:19). An angel spoke to Zacharias (Luke 1:11-13). God can use the Holy Spirit to redirect us through circumstances and again visions, to guide us to the right place, at the right time, and with the right people (Acts 16:6-10).

You can read in the Old and New Testament, of the different ways of how God speaks. God tells us to call to him and that he will answer us and reveal to us greater things (Jeremiah 33:3). We have the opportunity to ask away all the questions that we have and watch how circumstances in life move for us to receive that answer, direction, guidance, or petition.

See, God is the same he was before, is today and will continue to be. God is faithful to his promises and fulfills every one of his words (Malachi 3:6 and Hebrews 13:8). If God said he will answer, he will.
